MY HUSBAND THREW AWAY MY WEDDING DRESS BECAUSE I’M “TOO OLD TO BE ATTACHED” TO IT
I went to the attic yesterday and noticed my wedding dress was gone. I asked my husband about it, and he casually said he threw it away to make room for his fishing gear. When I got upset, he just shrugged and said, “Why do you care? You’re 65, we got married 40 years ago. You’re too old to be attached to a stupid piece of cloth. It’s just taking up space.”
Now I’m sitting here, staring at our wedding photos, asking myself if I’m overreacting. Should it hurt this much? I can’t help feeling like something important was taken from me. It was a piece of my past, of who we were. But maybe he’s right, maybe I’m just being silly and sentimental…
