Waitress who was left $4,400 tip by stranger is fired after boss ordered her to share it with colleagues

A waitress at OT in Bentonville, Arkansas, received a generous $4,400 tip from a group of diners, only to be fired after her boss instructed her to split it with colleagues.

RB, one of two servers for the large party, was initially overjoyed by the unexpected gesture. However, she was later informed by restaurant management that she had to share the tip, contrary to her three-and-a-half-year experience at the establishment.

Following her dismissal, RB faces financial strain, particularly with student loan repayments looming. Meanwhile, the diner who initiated the tip has launched a fundraising campaign to support her.
