Fulton County DA Clashes with House Oversight Chair Over Federal Grant Probe

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis responded sharply to House Oversight Committee Chair Jim Jordan’s probe into her office’s use of federal grants, labeling it “politically motivated.”

In a letter obtained by CNN, Willis rebuked Jordan’s demands for documentation, accusing him of unreasonable deadlines that would hinder her office’s core mission of prosecuting crime.

She warned Jordan against interfering with her investigation into former President Donald Trump, likening his efforts to threats she claims to have received. Jordan alleges Willis redirected anti-gang funds to bolster her Trump case, citing testimony from a whistleblower.

Willis faces mounting scrutiny over allegations of misusing federal funds and misconduct in her personal life, including an affair with a subordinate prosecutor.
