Elon Musk Forecasts AI Superiority by 2026 Amidst Concerns of Civilizational Impact

Tech mogul Elon Musk predicts that artificial intelligence (AI) will surpass human intelligence by next year or by 2026.

In an interview with Norway wealth fund CEO Nicolai Tangen on X Spaces, Musk discussed limitations in AI development, including electricity concerns.

He also provided updates on Grok, an AI chat box similar to OpenAI’s Chat GPT, developed by his startup, xAI. Musk emphasized the need for advanced chips and adequate electricity supply for AI development.

He warned of potential “civilizational destruction” if AI is mismanaged, urging caution and highlighting the importance of ethical AI development to avoid dystopian scenarios.
