Whatley Criticizes Biden’s Refusal to Debate Trump Ahead of Election

Republican National Committee co-chair Michael Whatley criticized President Biden for refusing to debate former President Trump before the election, asserting that Trump is ready to debate “anywhere, anytime, on any platform.”

Whatley emphasized the need for unbiased debates, recalling a 2020 debate moderated by a former Biden staffer as an example of bias.

He highlighted the stark contrast between Trump’s successful tenure and Biden’s perceived failures since taking office. In 2020, Trump and Biden debated twice, with Trump withdrawing from one online event. For 2024, the Trump campaign advocates for more and earlier debates, citing the increasing number of early voters as a reason.
