Rapist Collapses After Learning What He May Have Contracted From His Victim

Richard Thomas, 27, who was sentenced to over five years in prison for raping a sleeping woman, has been notified of a potential HIV contraction from his victim.

Thomas, who admitted to knowing the woman was ill but unaware it could be HIV, reportedly collapsed upon hearing the news.

His defense attorney, Virginia Hayton, described Thomas as remorseful and struggling to understand his actions. Thomas, with a history of drug and alcohol abuse starting at a young age, had let himself into the woman’s home uninvited and assaulted her while she slept.

Hayton commented that the looming HIV test “has been hanging over his head,” emphasizing that Thomas had placed himself in this position due to his actions.
