Ohio Teen Sets State Record with Massive Blue Catfish Catch

Fifteen-year-old Jaylynn Parker from New Richmond, Ohio, broke a state record by catching a massive blue catfish weighing over 100 pounds while fishing on the Ohio River with her father and a family friend.

Photos captured Jaylynn proudly holding the huge fish, almost as large as her, over her knee.

Her mother, Kristen Powell Parker, celebrated the achievement on Facebook, crediting her husband and friend for assisting with the catch.

The fish was released back into the Ohio River in good health. Jaylynn expressed gratitude for the help, emphasizing she couldn’t have managed such a feat alone due to the fish’s weight.
