Jury Seated in Trump’s New York Trial Amid Criticism of Fairness

Judge Juan Merchan announced the selection of 12 jurors and one alternate for President Donald Trump’s New York trial.

The diverse jury includes individuals from various professions, from investment banking to teaching, with varied news sources such as The New York Times, Fox News, and TikTok.

Five more alternates are yet to be selected, with proceedings continuing on Friday. Earlier, two jurors were dismissed—one concerned about identity exposure and potential bias from friends, and another at the prosecutors’ request.

Post-hearing, Trump criticized the trial’s fairness, presenting media with articles challenging the charges against him and accusing Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg of falsifying records.
