Avenatti Claims Trump’s Legal Team Contacted Him for Testimony

Michael Avenatti, the former attorney for Stormy Daniels, revealed to the New York Post that President Donald Trump’s defense team has been in touch with him.

Currently serving a 19-year prison sentence for various federal crimes, Avenatti stated, “I’d be more than happy to testify.”

While Avenatti was once a vocal critic of Trump, even advocating for his indictment, he now sees parallels between their legal situations, calling both cases “politically motivated.”

In a recent MSNBC interview from prison, Avenatti criticized Trump’s New York trial as “stale” and questioned the fairness of the proceedings in the state.
