A Beloved Car and a Bond that Transcends Generations

At 17, my grandpa passed away, but our cherished memories remain. He loved vintage cars, especially his Chevy, and we spent weekends working on it together.

These times were highlights of my youth, even when mishaps occurred. He kept candy in the ashtray, and though my sisters preferred our cousins, I treasured every moment with him.

When my mom told us he had died, I was devastated. He was my best friend. Later, I learned he left me his Chevy. However, my mom decided to sell it since I didn’t have a driver’s license, planning to share the money among us, which broke my heart.
