I Went Into the Airport Bathroom and Heard a Woman Crying — What I Saw When She Opened the Door Made Me Gasp

I rushed into the airport bathroom to fix my makeup but froze when I heard a woman crying. After coaxing her to open the stall, what I saw left me breathless.

This happened yesterday. Frustrated from a flight delay, I stormed through the airport, dragging my suitcase behind me. I was supposed to be on my way to New York, not stuck in the terminal.

When I entered the restroom, I heard someone sobbing in one of the stalls. After a moment, I decided to check on her. She opened the door, revealing two children asleep on the floor. The woman, Mariam, had been stranded at the airport with no money and no flight for three days.

I couldn’t walk away. I booked her a hotel, and as we left, I was grateful for the chance to help. In comforting someone else, my own frustrations faded away. It’s easy to get caught up in our problems, but sometimes, stopping to care for others changes everything.
