MAN OFFERED TO HELP ME WITH MY BABY ON A PLANE — I WAS SO GRATEFUL UNTIL I SAW WHAT HE DID TO MY SON

I was on a flight from New York to Los Angeles with my 14-month-old baby. As usual, traveling with an infant was stressful, and my baby was crying non-stop.

An hour in, a man across the aisle offered to help. He said he had a daughter the same age and seemed sincere. Exhausted, I let him hold my baby. When I turned around, I saw him feeding her from a strange bottle filled with a dark liquid.

Alarmed, I asked what was in the bottle. He claimed it was a special formula for his child. I checked the label and panicked as my baby grew lethargic.

A flight attendant intervened, and paramedics met us at the gate. My baby was okay but shaken. The man was detained, and it turned out he was using the bottle to administer substances he said would calm fussy children.

The incident left me deeply mistrustful of strangers, even though my baby was safe. It was a harsh reminder of how quickly trust can be broken.
