Amal Clooney was called ‘ugly’ and chastised for having skinny legs – George’s response is spot on.
George Clooney continues to be in awe of his wife Amal Clooney, the mysterious and attractive woman who won his heart and ended his status as a bachelor, despite furious criticism from admirers.
Everything about my wife is sort of magical, as I think everybody has come to realize as they see her and hear her and hear what she stands for.” The screen-savvy Clooney said to Entertainment Tonight in 2022. “There’s just not a downside to her.”
George Clooney is well-known for playing a variety of roles in both television and movies.
The Hollywood hottie may be remembered by some as a young handyman in the well-known sitcom The Facts of Life, which ran from 1979 to 1988. In more recent years, he has appeared as a leading man in films including Ticket to Paradise, Ocean’s Eleven, and O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2022).
He scored his biggest job as a life partner when he met the lovely Lebanese-British human rights attorney then known as Amal Alamuddin in 2013. After just six months of dating, the couple’s epic love tale continued in 2014 with a proposal.
Clooney, now 61, said of that moment, “Literally, I dropped it on her, and she just kept saying, ‘Oh, my God,’ and ‘Wow!’ We just sat there, and finally I said, ‘Listen, I’m 52, and I’ve been on my knee now for about 28 minutes, so I have to get an answer out of this or I’m going to throw a hip out. I might not be able to stand back up!”
The couple wed in September 2014 at Venice, Italy’s opulent Aman Canal Grande hotel, in front of a star-studded audience that included Bono, Matt Damon, and Bill Murray.
