Rock Legend Ted Nugent Performs EPIC National Anthem For Trucker Convoy, Goes Off On Biden

No one expects Ted Nugent to ever have a kind word for a Democrat, especially President Joe Biden, but the rock legend went scorched earth against the incumbent while speaking to participants at the trucker convoy in support of Texas’s immigration battle.

Video of Nugent, obtained by Freedom News, shows the “Cat Scratch Fever” guitarist solemnly taking his hat off as he apologizes to Texans overwhelmed by the record-breaking number of migrants crossing the southern border as the result of the White House’s policies.

“My heart is broke right now,” Nugent started, “and I’d like to start by speaking to all the veterans out there, all the law enforcement officers, and the citizens who took an oath to the sacred Constitution… I’d like to apologize to ‘We the People’ for allowing this piece of s*** to get into the White House.”

The crowd roared its approval, no surprise given that so many had traveled as part of the “Take Our Border Back” convoy to show support for Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s efforts to string razor wire along highly trafficked areas, only to see those wires cut down by federal officials.

“This devil snake scum thinks he’s the Commander in Chief of the United States of America? We apologize for being so stupid and for bending over and allowing this to happen,” he added.

“I have an instinctual right to speak my mind… I can protest on January 6th without the FBI causing all that violence,” he continued, drawing more applause from onlookers. “I don’t need a permit or a license for my First Amendment.”

Among the attendees during Nugent’s performance of the National Anthem was former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, spotted in sunglasses and a tan leather jacket listening behind the stage.

On Friday thousands of participants began staging at three locations along the U.S.-Mexico border, with organizers saying the gatherings will focus on peaceful protests and prayer. The convoy set off from Virginia earlier this week, arriving at Eagle Pass, the site of a contentious territorial dispute between state and federal officials. Other locations for the convoy’s arrival include Yuma, Arizona, and San Ysidro, California.

Critics have claimed the protests – and actions from the government of Texas – will fuel anti-immigrant sentiment at a time when Americans are growing increasingly concerned about illegal immigration.

“Greg Abbott has continued to use political stunts and inflammatory language to advance his own agenda, violating the Constitution and endangering both U.S. citizens and asylum seekers,” Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX) posted on X. “Abbott is following the Donald Trump playbook: making immigration harder and more dangerous, so asylum seekers are pushed into the hands of cartels and the system remains broken.”

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) accused Abbott of defying a U.S. Supreme Court decision granting DHS sole control of border matters.

“When Gov. Orval Eugene Faubus did this in 1957, [President] Eisenhower federalized the Arkansas Guard to ensure compliance with the law,” O’Rourke tweeted. “Biden must follow this example of bold, decisive leadership to end this crisis before it gets worse.”

Governor Abbott has insisted the historic illegal crossing levels amount to an “invasion” that allows Texas to subvert federal authority. The Department of Homeland Security has countered in court, resulting in a stalemate that allows Texas to continue laying razor wire while DHS is authorized to take it down. Next week Abbott will lead a contingent of 14 Republican governors to visit the border as he brings attention to the crisis.

House Republicans are expected to impeach Secretary Mayorkas in the coming days, citing a dereliction of duty on constitutional grounds.
